Sylvia's Notes:
Jim's music is desbribed as "country noir". During his now 60 years of life he had many jobs before David Byrne of Talking Heads discovered him. His movie/documentary "Searching For The wrong-eyed Jesus" has become a cult film.
Judging by the audience that came to see him on a Monday night he has found his niche. IMHO Jim White is not a great singer and guitar player,
but the whole picture fits.
He is a good storyteller and the audience loved his almost 22 minute story about driving to Seattle and finding a $19.95 motel along the way.
