digitizing notes:
This is one of a handful of shows from "Mr. Smith" that I had also recorded. I believe my own recording of this performance has circulated in the past through tape trading circles, and it seems that this version from the Mr. Smith collection has possibly never seen the light of day until now.

Although this recording is truncated in a couple of spots, this version is complete. I had recorded this show as well, although I was unable to locate it until after I had completed the digitization process for this recording, so the tracking points don't match. Then again, neither does the fidelity.

Based on my own taping experience for this show, I don't think I realized what a noisy chattering crowd there was! The audience doesn't seem to be able to stop talking though the entire performance, and apparently their mission was to make sure that no one gets to hear the music being performed. Unfortunately, it also seems that the taper was separated from the stage by everyone in Minneapolis who was able to chatter endlessly. This version may be of interest for diehard fans only!
