Been getting a few requests on the Leonard Cohen Forum for this as apparently “Lullaby” is a new song and the fans really want to hear it. As you can see I have used a bit of a patch from another show to fill in my recording. I know some people will not like this, for those of you in this category there is an alternate track 101 in the file so you can have only what came from my tape. I did the splice for my enjoyment. God love Leonard, but there does not seem to be much change in the songs from night to night, and I do not think this was such a bad second option of repair. I tried to get an alternate source from this show. I posted on forums, I PM’d youtube uploaders, I have had no luck. We are talking about one minute here. I did not start the recorder as I had thought, and once I got it going I had the further brain fart of hitting pause. The spliced version gives you as much of my tape that is not screwed up. If an alternate source is located I will repair it with that.

Now about the recording: I have never been to a quieter show, both in terms of the audience around me and the sound coming from the speakers. As a result, the levels on the tape are low even though I was set on “10”. Oh how I wish it went to eleven. I thought at intermission of turning off the -20dbs setting, but then the applause would possibly over modulate and create another mess to deal with. I decided to record the entire concert in the same manner and fix it on transfer. So yes I did EQ this a bit and pump up the volume. All work was done digitally. There is no analog step in any portion of this transfer. The recording seems more distant than it should have been from section 204 row 5, but I think it still makes for a nice listen. Tracks done on the fly so they are not perfect. Thanks again to tessellation for letting me use his recording to patch. Oh ya, this was one of the most incredible shows I have ever seen. Enjoy.
