This one is completely uncirculated, mainly because it’s not that great. The deck I normally used was in the shop, so I had the decent mic, but a shitty deck. The recording suffers from some distortion and some clipping b\c of this, but it’s still pretty enjoyable.

If yer not a huge fan, ya may wanna pass on this one. If ya ARE a huge fan, this will be the first time ya have been able to hear this VERY RARE club appearance. Nick had played the Beacon Theatre on the 8th of September (I have that too), which is more than three times the size of Irving, so this is a really intimate gig. I was lucky to get in, Beck, who played the previous night at the Cooler with Thurston Moore (I have THAT too;), showed up and almost didn’t…of course his people talked to Nick’s people and all was good…

Anywho, it was Nick’s birthday, and the crowd sings to him, and he’s playful…despite a bad tape flip, and the cut ending (so fukkin CLOSE!!), it’s a decent and fun recording…

Enjoy!
