concert-info:
so many things have been said about this tour of Mr. Cave with his Bad Seeds. Most of that was enthusiastic. A must have seen-show. So, I strolled over to the main stage that sunday over the huge field (for about 20.000 people or so) and went right into the pole position without beeing disturbed by doing that.
Maybe it was due to the fact that Mr. Cave came on stage exact at 9.30 pm. And Mr. Minimax came to the stage a bit earlier at about 12.45 am.
So Mr. Minimax was standing there half the day long and Mr. Minimax was sitting there the other half of the day long.
Seeing bands I wanted to see (The Breeders, Franz Ferdinand & Fink) or did not wanted to see (Jungle).
Then after FF suddenly the field was filled around within some minutes.
I had the long catwalk in front of me – along the whole front barrier and the ramp up to the stage itself. So I was thinking about a nice start of this show when Nick Cave would enter the stage up to the ramp and rolling down on his new red Bobby-Car – right into my arms.
Damned. No Bobby – car.
It took him about 10 or so seconds 'til he came down to us in the front row. From that second on I lived in constant danger and fear about beeing discovered by recording – as he sometimes looked straight into my eyes.
It was a bit windy sometimes but I plugged my windscreens away from the microphones as they are too big – and who wants to be seen by this man by recording his show? Me not!
On the other hand I had to take care of my hands putting 'em on the catwalk for not beeing broken when he ran around and stomped with his feet.

The concert itself was such a great and impressive one – if there still is any chance to se him, go and see him. This was funny, loud, dangerous, you can be driven to tears, you can hold his hand for seconds. And you can push the sky away.
An aboslute highlight in my and your long time concert-goer-career.
A must have seen-show. Everyone was right before by saying that.
