Notes: A very good sounding audience recording. Clear and direct, with a slight amount of distortion and hiss, and it's mono too of course. Nearly zero crowd noise. Some occasional clicks and pops may be heard due to tracking errors which accumulate over the generations of tape, but I cleaned up where they were most frequent during the first three minutes of the tape. As far as I know, this is a complete recording, or if it isn't, it may just be missing some of the concert intro.

This copy is lossless and has known generation, so obviously it blows the existing MP3 128kbps version out of the water. I used a high end VCR to capture the HiFi audio track. I'd capture the video too, but my external time base corrector doesn't like the NTSC signal output from my PAL VCR (which does play NTSC without a problem otherwise) and strips the color from the signal, so I need to wait until I buy an actual NTSC S-VHS VCR before I can properly transfer the video. Until then, enjoy this audio!

A second generation copy of 1991-01-24 New York (http://ninlive.com/shows/1991/19910124.html) is also on this VHS, but oddly enough the audio sounds worse than the version I recently shared from an unknown generation VHS tape. Not sure what happened there, unless the unmarked copy is a master or 1st gen or was simply copied with better equipment. Regardless, when I get around to actually capturing the video, whichever tape has better video quality is the one I'll capture. If it turns out that this 2nd gen tape has better video, I will just use the other tape's better audio and make the best possible version.
