From my Hi-Fi VHS cap of the show, broadcast as MTV's Live-n-Loud on New years Eve, 1993. A mere 4 months before Kurt would exit this realm, they give a rather energetic and inspired performance for the hometown crowd. It was one of my favorite shows from them, even as others have spilled forth over the years, I always remembered this as an unusual MTV-aired gem.

I hadn't seen or heard it in at least 10 years, and my top-performer archive Hi-Fi deck I recorded this on finally died back in the summer, so I was unsure of how it would transfer with a newer and not-as-nice deck that I still had laying around (don't do VHS much anymore, thankfully!) For 75% of the show it was fine, and for the remaining parts I had to do another 7 transfers in bits and pieces to get the whole thing to look and sound good. But now it does sound quite nice through and through. And no strange frequency banding, not even a 15.75k mouse. My now deceased deck had the ability to filter it out. Damn.

Unfortunately "Scentless Apprentice" had to be cut from here as it was released on the "...Muddy Banks..." disc 10 years ago. So, you know where to find that version to complete the set.
