Lydia Lunch & Rowland S Howard
The Venue, SE14, 2 December 1991

Just about the last show I recorded myself, prior to leaving London.

This show is from the mini tour that Lydia Lunch and Rowland S Howard did in
support of the "Shotgun Wedding" album. They had, of course, worked together
years earlier when Lydia Lunch and the Birthday Party shared a 12" single,
"The Agony is the Ecstasy" on, of all places, 4AD records. LL & RH also
recorded the single "Some velvet morning" and both perform on "Thirsty Animal",
a early single from Einsturzende Neubauten.

This is a pretty good recording, and Rowland's guitar playing is excellent. It's
a shame he hasn't really done more since the demise of the Birthday Party.

And The Venue is not to be confused with the "Venue" in Victoria!

Lineage: Walkman Pro, TDK AD90, Nakamichi DR-3, Soundforge, WAV, FLAC

Quality: some top end distortion early on, settles down quite nicely though.
