The Digital Dan:

This is a short Rush performance when they were still an opening act for other artists. It may be short, but it is sweet indeed! Rush plays a very powerful and energetic set as if they were trying to out do the headlining act, and by the sounds of it, they did. As an audience recording it is very clear and all the instruments are very well defined. Another must have recording that needs to be played loud. Heck, maybe your neighbors will just move so that you can play it even louder! As with all Digital Reproductions recordings, it's only available via free trade and never for sale. Just visit the trading links section to find people that will gladly trade this recording for free.

Northern Reflections:

Given its age, I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality on this recording. This is a short concert as Rush was apparently the opening act and Geddy says they don't have a lot of time this night. There are a few flaws in the recording (such as the cut at the beginning of WORKING MAN) but they do not deter from the enjoyment of this energetic show.

Taken from Ron's Rush ROIO Review:

In spite of the short setlist, this is actually the whole show. This ROIO comes from a time when Rush was playing some shows as an opening act and some as the main act. On this particular night, they opened for Ted Nugent. Makes you think that after hearing 2112 live, Ted was a bit anticlimactic. This is a very good sounding audience tape, considering it’s age. All the instruments are easily heard, although the bass end is a bit mushy. Overall, an excellent little show.
