Hi everyone,
As I mentioned last time (http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=610549), I was fortunate to have been able to attend the last two Sigur Ros shows at Harpa in Reykjavik in the darkest time of the year :) Both were unforgettable just mind blowing nights... they certainly reminded me that I am a HUGE fan, and would love to see them again soon... And having experienced this ambiance, there's no way I will do it at some happily drunken festival or some sports arena. It's just a different experience altogether.
Now here's my disclosure as to why I have not released this tape right away. For no good reason, they decided to make the show louder. I felt it right away - but blamed it on my ears still 'buzzing' from the night prior. Well, sitting in almost exact same spot, same band, same venue - it wasn't until 30 min into the first set that I looked at my M10 during particularly loud drum part and realized it was dipping into the red. Ahhhhhh! I quickly turned the levels down - but listening and LOOKING at the raw tape, there were a few spots during that first half hour (~5 min combined) that were clearly running "too hot". So ZF and I put a load of effort in figuring out the way to minimize the impact of this overload. Then Seneca came in - your man with a solution to every audio wrinkle - and taught me a few things :) So, there remains some distortion in those ultra loud bits, but otherwise - the show sounds amazing... Not even sure why I'm sharing these details :)

I threw in a handful of stills I seem to have a full Jonsi gallery after this show...

So please enjoy this and let's hope for some more magic in the near future!

Between Iceland and this frozen winter in NYC - I'm ready for a tour of the Caribbean - also to help them build up after all the hurricanes...
