Simple Minds, Lyceum, London 13 September 1982 *Master*

Recorded by Josef

Lineage:
Sony TCS 300 > TDK AD90s (Master) > Nak DR2 > Adcom CGA-501 amp > Audiophile 24/96 (mastered at 24/44.1) > Peak 4LE > dithering > FLAC 8 > You

A pretty late gig by my standards. I was more a fan of 'Cacophany' and 'Empires'. I first saw the Minds back in early 81, bunking off school to see them at The Venue in London on the 'Empires' tour. I continued to buy their records through 81 and 82. I'd bought a ticket for the July 82 Hacienda gig but didn't bother to go. I was clearly still interested enough in them to go along and tape this later that year.

I know that a well known Camden Market trader had a tape of this gig on his list. I knew him well at the time, and may have given him a copy of my recording. Can't remember. If anyone already has a recording of this concert, I'd be interested to know if it's a descendent of the master being seeded by me here.

No artwork, but I've included a scan of my ticket - complete with Bluetak marks from when it was on my bedroom wall.
Enjoy

Duration: 91 minutes. There's some substantial cheering for the encores, but removing it still wouldn't have brought this in under the 80 minute mark. I have used my tape flip point at circa 40 mins as the break between CDs 1 and 2.
