SNAKEFINGER - Live at the Boarding House San Francisco 3.12.79

This cd was received in a trade and has been remastered by Ben E Fitzclement on the 4th March 2008 (details unknown). Other than this I know nothing about the lineage of this recording. It is certainly a very listenable gig, although not of first rate quality, and it appears that Snakefinger is singing and playing guitar to a backing tape.

Snakefinger tells the audience that he is backed by the Vestal Virgins and it is clear that this is NOT the later band of that name featuring Eric Drew Feldman. Indeed, judging by the backing vocals, the Vestal Virgins on this occasion may well have been the Residents.
