Stereo FM trade tape
Trade tape > Computer WAV > CDR > EAC v0.99 > Cool Edit Pro > TLH v2.4.1 > FLAC 8 > DIME > you
Big thanks to the original taper, and to the trader (Gregg?) who hooked me up with a copy.
I originally mastered this 2002-07-28 but no longer have the original WAVs.
This source came from the 2002 final mastered CDR, extracted via EAC / reports included.
Back then I think the only thing I did on the computer was place a track mark before part 2 of the interview.
This FLAC fileset comes from the EAC extracts, which did not originally need SBE corrections.
The tape trade circuit version left in a whole 10 seconds' worth of "Loser = Weed" and "Satisfaction".
I cut that official music out for DIME with Cool Edit & re-fixed for SBE.
NOTES
PART 1 OF A TWO-FER (Part 2 will be the show later that same night)
(coulda lumped both together in one download, but maybe some folks just want music, so I'll do 'em separate)
I don't know the radio station which aired this, that was not provided when I got my copy.
- - - -
It's an interview with Snakefinger at a local Houston radio station before a show he'd play later that night.
Total grab bag - serious questions, goofy radio station guys questions, a lot of fun & laughter.
- - - -
Somewhere in here they talk about both "Islands" and "The Island" being the venue at which he'd play later.
My tape of the live show didn't note the venue.
- - - -
There's a hum in the background, and some hiss, and a channel briefly fades out here & there.
Given that it's talk, you can hear everything clear enough, mate.
- - - -
Crank it up and ENJOY! it as I have, and share it so others can hear it.
- - - -
Filenames have numbers on the end that are the TIMES (ex. - "...-359" is 3min59sec long).
