SOURCE / LINEAGE

Stereo AUD trade tape

Trade tape > Computer WAV > CDR > EAC v0.99 > TLH v2.4.1 > FLAC 8 > DIME > you
Big thanks to the original taper, and to the trader (paperhead?) who hooked me up with a copy.
I originally mastered this 2002-07-27 but no longer have the original WAVs.

This source came from the 2002 final mastered CDR, extracted via EAC / reports included.
I cut about 100 seconds of clapping, so that this would fit onto one CD-R.
Beyond that, I think the only thing I did on the computer was place track marks before each piece.
This FLAC fileset comes from the EAC extracts, which did not need SBE corrections.

NOTES

Snakefinger typically named his band & would often change it up from night to night.
For this show he calls them "the Smashed Illusions".

It's stereo, but there's minimal separation, oh well. But hey it's Snakey, so you line up in the queue anyway, don'tcha?
Still, it's nice & clear for the most part, a good one to play at high-volume.
For what I've found to date, it's first show of the mid 1982 tour captured on tape.
It's an unusually long show, as some of these 'first show' dates seem to be.
Nothing rare set-wise, tho they do pull out I Come From An Island up for a turn, & Beatnik Party gets a little extra free-form jam.
Also, this may well be the first appearance of I Love You Too Much To Respect You (written "a few weeks ago").

Crank it up and ENJOY! it as I have, and share it so others can hear it.

Filenames have numbers on the end that are the TIMES (ex. - "...-359" is 3min59sec long).
One filename has "QM" in the name, as a question mark isn't allowed in names.
Nowadays I try to avoid the "+" in names, because it causes some folks problems; track 15 has it, so rename it if you're one of them.

I mark the start of tracks when the music or count-in begins, not the talking about it before it starts.
