SOURCE / LINEAGE

Stereo AUD trade tape

Trade tape > Computer WAV > CDR > EAC v0.99 > TLH v2.4.1 > FLAC 8 > DIME > you
Big thanks to the original taper, and to the trader (Gregg) who hooked me up with a copy.
I originally mastered this 2002-08-24 but no longer have the original WAVs.

This source came from the 2002 final mastered CDR, extracted via EAC / reports included.
Besides placing track marks before each piece, my notes say the source was low in the right channel & I balanced it out a bit.
This FLAC fileset comes from the EAC extracts, which did not need SBE corrections.

NOTES

This show was part of the summer 1986 Ralph Records Traveling Festival.
Snakefinger headlined a bill that also included Eugene Chadbourne and Rhythm & Noise.

Snakefinger typically named his band & would often change it up from night to night.
For this show he didn't name them onstage, but per Ralph they were "the Vestal Virgins" for this tour.

It's stereo & a nice sounding tape overall. A couple spots sound like the tape got munched or wrinkled.
But hey it's Snakey, and so you ride this baby like a rented mule.

Yet another show where someone takes his bar for the pedal steel guitar.

Crank it up and ENJOY! it as I have, and share it so others can hear it.

Filenames have numbers on the end that are the TIMES (ex. - "...-359" is 3min59sec long).
One filename has "CO" and "QM" in the name, as a colon & a question mark isn't allowed in names.
One filename has "SL" in the name, as a slash isn't allowed in names.

I mark the start of tracks when the music or count-in begins, not the talking about it before it starts.
