This is a great upgrade to a great show!

There are at least 3 other versions of this show circulating. I have heard them all and can safely say this is the BEST source of this show by far. Sound is just fantastic for an AUD recording IMO.

You may have gotten another version of this from Dime or etree, but this is a completely different source that has never been torrented.

Over a year later, I have finally obtained permission to share this version.

Huge thanks to all the others who kindly share their Steve Earle tapes on Dime

You know who you are ;-)

Just a quick note about the artwork- The peace sign on the booklet was a decoration that Steve INSISTED had to be lit up over the stage while he played his set.

The stage hands were having a fit as it kept shorting out and causing power problems, yet Mr Earle persisted, and peace prevailed (at least in Ancramdale NY) that evening.

"Jerusalem" was especially poignant this night, as this show occurred at the height of the Israeli/Lebanon conflict last summer. As Steve and the band played to a mellow crowd in upstate NY, on the other side of the world the bombs were raining down on the Holy Land and many innocent human beings.

When I first heard the recording, I was actually moved to tears, so if I've offended anyone by bringing this up, sorry. You'll get over it.

Anyway, please enjoy the upgrade & check out Steve's brand-new album "Washington Square Seranade"
