Gig Notes:

Pretty packed house to see an enthusiastic show from the guys, a band I haven't seen in 18 years - funnily enough, in the old Cathouse. Certainly a band who take their music seriously, but not themselves - real down to earth guys and were genuinely appreciative of the good reception they got. They played a good selection of their songs, old and new, plus a bit of good old-fashioned guitar duelling towards the end in the solos.

Good to see a band playing over 100 minutes. Getting rarer these days...

Stormzone were the support, but I missed most of their set getting to the venue.

Recording notes and sound quality:

Taped from the RH side of the stage, the PA was mono, so no missing guitars. Jeff's vocals started off very quiet on Forever More, but the soundman soon fixed it. Odd bit of feedback from the amps, also odd bit of phasing if someone passed by me, but nothing too bad. The overall sound wasn't too great on the night, so this is about as good as I could get it, i.e. a little bassy. However sounds pretty decent - judge for yourself. Hardly any talkers where I was, how about that - doesn't happen very often!
