U2
National Stadium
Dublin, Ireland
February 26, 1980.

This is a soundboard recording of a very early U2 show. The quality is
decent, but not stellar. Having said that, the energy and setlist of
this show make it a must-have for any fan of early U2. Even at this
early stage, their talent and appeal is evident. It includes a number
of songs that were never officially released, or early versions of
songs that appeared later on their first releases. On introducing
"Another Day" Bono talks about the CBS single, hinting that it "won't
be out on the CBS label for long, I can tell you that story later"; U2
reportedly signed with Island Records after the show ended.

This is most likely a clone of the bootleg CD "My Hometown" (Chelsea
Records), but I didn't get this information directly from the person I
traded with. I obtained SHNs of this show back in 2000, and the full
setlist matches the tracks listed as being on "My Hometown"; however
the length of this show differs slightly from that listed for "My
Hometown". Not sure about story behind the discrepency.
