Thanks to great reception of SWR3's broadcast signal, here's a great sounding capture from my archive of live radio master cassettes.
Great performance and live mix by UB40, with "sing our own song" being one of my favourites of the day and the best live version of this song I've heard. Unfortunately, SWR3's DJ cut away during the introduction (I'm guessing to the news?) and the live feed returned only after several minutes.

This is a four part series, also including that day's performances by Eurythmics, Simple Minds and Whitney Houston/Stevie Wonder.
Being a poor student back then, I could only committ two tapes (a 60 & a 90) and therefore only recorded some of the artists that day.

Analog to digital Transfer in January of 2018.
