show notes:

what a great final weekend to "Birthday Trip '97", comprised of a couple Stones/PJ gigs in CA, 4 Blues Traveler gigs in GA, MN and IL (don't ask), 4 Gov't Mule gigs in MO, SD and IA, and then this:

"Janes Addiction and Motley Crue, back-to-back nights, at the Aladdin Theater in Vegas"

the FINAL two shows at the theater before it was blown up soon after to make way for the 'new' Aladdin complex

being at the tail end of the trip (close to broke), had to make a choice for which show to spend the 'front 10 rows' money on, so called up Graham (the guy who got Millard his tix in the 70's), told him the 'sitch', and after a visit to his agent-buddy on the Strip and $150 later, had a 7th row Janes ticket and around 15th row for the Crue the following night.

as told in the Motley Crue story (previously torrented), the 'burned in the brain' memory about this show is all of those little 15 year old hotties who rocked out to "Girls Girls Girls" and "Nothings Shocking" in '87 and '88 had grown up into 25-26 year old stripper *babes*, and decided to blow their tip money on front section Janes and Motley tickets.

between the scent of musk, Nordstrom's and Macy's, it was like a heavenly henhouse...and for the most part, they weren't "stupid screamer bitches" either.

if only I'd had "moves like Cosby"....bwaaaahahahaha

#goodtimes

so, yeah, what we have here is an (almost) Janes Addiction show, with FLEA on bass instead of the guy they have now.

from 1997

in Vegas.

***newly fresh to dime from the master.***

and a talkative Perry.

and onstage stripper poles and stripper chicks and glow sticks and twirly rods and feathered costumes and maybe even some fire.

does any more really need to be said?

yeah, didn't think so.

THANK YOU Dennis

THANK YOU Dan

FUCK YOU Hagar

in that order.
