Running time [52:07]

Steve hosts a special hour with Pixies live in session. They'll be playing tracks from the new album 'Beneath the Eyrie' alongside classics, including something from their seminal album 'Doolittle', which turns 30 this year.

Pixies are undoubtedly one of the most important and influential acts in alternative music. They formed in 1986, and made a huge impact with their debut album 'Surfer Rosa' and the follow up breakthrough album 'Doolittle', released in 1989. They released 2 further albums before splitting in 1993.

They reunited in 2004, though didn't release a new album until 'Indie Cindy' in 2014, by which time original bassist and backing vocalist Kim Deal had left.

The new album 'Beneath the Eyrie' is their 3rd since reforming and follows 2016's 'Head Carrier'.
