VIOLENT FEMMES
PC 69, Bielefeld, Germany
Oktober - 11 - 1984

Matrix of 2 different sources:

Source 1: my own recording, uploaded to dime almost exactly one year ago and still on the tracker here: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=638539

Processing:
master tape -> cass transfer via Denon tapedeck DRM 800A -> Magix Audio & Music Lab (edit/remaster) -> FLAC -> DIME
VG after some equalizing.

Source 2: uploaded to dime by bobfather in 2010: unknown walkman & mic > low gen analog tape

Lineage: nakamichi cr 7e (azimuth adjusted) > Pioneer PD-R 509 -> Apple Powerbook G4 -> Flacer 1.1

I made already a Matrix of both sources in 2016 (also upped to dime) but for this Matrix here my own tape was transferred newly on better equipment, so this is an upgrade to the older Matrix.

Matrix arrangement:

flac files both sources -> Magix Audio & Music Lab (edit/remaster) -> FLAC -> DIME
There were slight speed differences between both sources and source 2 was speed corrected to fit to source 1. Also a pitch correction was made. VG sound after some equalizing.

This is the complete show. In source 2 some crowd noise at the start and the end of Good Feelings is missing as well as some crowd noise during the 1st encore call. In source 1 only a small bit of crowd noise between track 10 and 11 was missing due to tape flip. Both sources have a similar sound quality but the Matrix delivers an overall improved sound.
I have made a CD cover which is attached here.

This show captures the Violent Femmes in their golden time right after the release of their second album Hallowed Ground and they have a lot of fun playing in front
of a small but delighted audience in the famous Disco/Club PC 69 which had opened its doors 1 month before (the PC 69 has closed in 2003)
